The Last Stand: Football Shield

Since the inception of the RMMHS Ex-students' Council, every reunion has featured the much loved football tournament. Same as every year, this reunion will also hold the football tournament, The Last Stand. 
This tournament consists of 8 teams (seven men in each team) which will be up for taking by 8 owners, who will purchase the teams in an auction and will have to bring their own jerseys for their teams. The owners of the 8 teams will then get a chance to choose a representative who will be in charge of arranging the team's schedules for different activities. The next task of the owner will be to appoint a playing manager; i.e. a manager who can be one of the players in the team. 
Each team has to buy a marquee player as its captain. The marquee players are those under 21 players who are considered to be some of the best players in the RMHS. Each team also has to have a player from the school who still has not completed graduation from the school, or in other words, who is still a student in the school.
The next task is the selection of players for all the teams. The owners, along with the representative and manager, will take part in an active auction to buy players of their preference, which will complete the process of team forming.
The tournament itself will hold matches of 10 minutes a half. There will be two groups consisting of four teams each; the groups will have teams selected completely at random as they will be decided by a lottery. 
Each group will then have 6 matches, which will then leave 2 teams from each group in the semi final. The teams in first and second position of one group will play against the second and first position teams of the other group respectively, and the winners of these two matches will then play the final. The winner of the final will undoubtedly be crowned the champion, but the losing team will be awarded second place. After that, a match between the losing teams in the semi-final will decide a third place winner. 
The champion team of the tournament will have its name engraved on the victory shield. There will also be an award for the best manager, best representative, best marquee. Along with this, the best players in the tournament will receive the prestigious Golden Boot, the Golden Glove and the Golden Ball awards. Although not actually golden, their value in the hearts of the players is one that exceeds the material glitter of any metal.
